Growing up, I really loved Disney. In my hometown you could get it through DSTV, and my favourite parts were always the soundtracks. Phineas & Ferb, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Victorious. Just like every other kid.

I believe one day Tanzania will have its own movies. Like Japan did with anime, I believe art that's good enough and a story that's compelling enough will come out of Tanzania, to the point where people learn Swahili or read the subtitles, the way I do with anime. That's what I had in mind when I created WOTE.

The instrumental is two different vocal samples I made, put together. I kept it simple and minimal. It was one of the first songs I was really proud of in a while, after thinking I'd almost lost the music. And the music video was one of the first I ever made with my AI avatar, Mina.

I'm glad people appreciated the song too. And I believe it'll be heard in soundtracks in the near future.
