Forgive & Forget

This is a story about an epiphany: the moment you realise unforgiveness has no reward, and the love you lost wasn't worth the hatred and the life that came after it. She finally admits she acted out of fear.

We've all been there, or watched it happen to someone we love, to ourselves, or in our favourite movies. A hardened heart can forgive, but it never really lets go. It never forgets.

During this phase, I was committed to not making sad songs at all. So the first week after recording this one, I hated it. It was outside what I'd set out to do. Then strangers started sending feedback, and that changed my mind.

Sometimes music breaks the artist's rules. I guess this was my turn. The whole session took 33 minutes.

Forgiving is half of it. Letting go is the other half.
