This is a song about testing your faith. We all reach a point where what we believe has to go higher, because if it doesn't, we're convinced we'll be powerless and fall.
I'm talking to the one with a porn addiction, and to the woman praying for him while he's already looking at her as prey. I'm talking to the one who hates what they see in the mirror today, for whom the smallest bit of light, the sense that it won't last forever, is everything.
And I'm talking to the one who loves deeply but has habits they want to heal from before bringing them into a committed relationship. In their mind, when that day comes, they won't have to run anymore. They'll be the one who's sought after.
